Learn to Face your Problems !

Learn to face your problems! Is there something difficult in your life that you tend not to talk about??

Is there something, buried deep inside of you, that you never want to dig it out and you let it lay there and fester and grow inside of you like a bad disease?

There are so many people who run from their problems. They run and run and never face them. They run from people that they do not like or have harmed them in some way, or avoid places that may trigger a reaction and bring up bad memories. And the big one that people run from, is the past.

Instead of dealing with these issues, people take the easy way out and ride down the comfortable path called "Least Resistance."

Do you know when you face these problems in your life and attack them head on, you become stronger and you will grow spiritually??

Do you know when you face your fears, those fears (most of them) go away??

If you want to lead a great, healthy, happy life for yourself, with values and hopes and dreams, you must first get rid of that heavy baggage you carry around inside of you...Just drop it off and never pick it back up again.

Every time this uncomfortable situation comes up in your life, do not bury your head in the sand. Greet the problem head on and with a positive mindset and you will realize that the huge problem that has been beating you up mentally, for so long and so many years, was just a figment of your imagination. It was never real to begin with and certainly will never hurt you.

* Live free of mental anguish...
* Live free of anxieties of what you think is going to happen...
* Live free from the fears of the unknown...
* Live free from something that happened so long ago and has been keeping you chained down for years, stuck from forward progression....

Let it all go...

Declare freedom from all of this and watch your life flourish with healthy positive faith filled thoughts.

4 Bad Habits that can Age You by 12 years

Four common bad habits combined - smoking, drinking too much, inactivity and poor diet - can age you by 12 years, sobering new research suggests. The findings are from a study that tracked nearly 5,000 British adults for 20 years, and they highlight yet another reason to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Overall, 314 people studied had all four unhealthy behaviors. Among them, 91 died during the study, or 29 per cent. Among the 387 healthiest people with none of the four habits, only 32 died, or about 8 per cent.

The risky behaviors were: smoking tobacco; downing more than three alcoholic drinks per day for men and more than two daily for women; getting less than two hours of physical activity per week; and eating fruits and vegetables fewer than three times daily. These habits combined substantially increased the risk of death and made people who engaged in them seem 12 years older than people in the healthiest group, said lead researcher Elisabeth Kvaavik of the University of Oslo .

The study appears in Archives of Internal Medicine . The healthiest group included never-smokers and those who had quit; teetotalers, women who had fewer than two drinks daily and men who had fewer than three; those who got at least two hours of physical activity weekly; and those who ate fruits and vegetables at least three times daily. “You don't need to be extreme'' to be in the healthy category, Kvaavik said. “These behaviors add up, so together it's quite good. It should be possible for most people to manage to do it.''

For example, one carrot, one apple and a glass of orange juice would suffice for the fruit and vegetable cutoffs in the study, Kvaavik said, noting that the amounts are pretty modest and less strict than many guidelines. The U.S. government generally recommends at least 4 cups of fruits or vegetables daily for adults, depending on age and activity level; and about 2 hours of exercise weekly.

Study participants were 4,886 British adults aged 18 and older, or 44 years old on average. They were randomly selected from participants in a separate nationwide British health survey. Study subjects were asked about various lifestyle habits only once, a potential limitation, but Kvaavik said those habits tend to be fairly stable in adulthood. Death certificates were checked for the next 20 years. The most common causes of death included heart disease and cancer, both related to unhealthy lifestyles. Kvaavik said her results are applicable to other westernized nations including the United States.

June Stevens, a University of North Carolina public health researcher, said the results are in line with previous studies that examined the combined effects of health-related habits on longevity. The findings don't mean that everyone who maintains a healthy lifestyle will live longer than those who don't, but it will increase the odds, Stevens said.

Learn to Convince Efficiently

Do the homework. Make sure you understand your own viewpoint. If you are going to try to convince somebody that the Eiffel Tower is taller than the Statue of Liberty, find out the facts first, don’t make assumptions.

Learn the field. For certain areas you will need to know more than just the facts, as some subjects are subjective. For example, if you wanted to convince somebody that the Statue of Liberty was prettier than the Eiffel Tower you will need to know enough about architecture and aesthetics to argue about that subject, as well as the facts, like how tall they are.
If you are selling something, like a car, you will need to know all there is to know about the car you are selling. Likewise, you will need to know all about the other cars that are in competition with your vehicle.

Engage the person politely. Maintain eye contact where possible, but don’t be annoying about it.

Establish mutual respect. You will never convince anybody of anything if they believe you do not respect them, so show the person you respect them and be good enough to gain their respect.

Gain trust. To convince people of most things you will need their trust. They don’t have to trust you as a person, but they do need to trust that what you are saying makes sense, that you know your “stuff”. The best way to do this is to do your homework and fieldwork, that way you know a lot about the subject.

Listen carefully to what your debate partner has to say. Respond thoughtfully to their point of view.

When you can, back up what you say with real facts. Lying will only convince somebody until they find out about the lie, then you will never be able to convince them of anything again.

Be willing to be convinced. Sometimes accepting one point from the other person and showing that you can change your mind when you are wrong will help them to be the same, and change their mind about the subject you care about.
Practice active listening. Active listening helps you control a conversation and keeps it on track.
Active listening techniques include:
Non-verbal feedback. Nodding your head as the other talks etc.
Paraphrase what the other person has said to make sure you understand it.
Make sure you understand the other person’s objections and respond to them in an intelligent manner.
Keep vigilant about your belief, but always respectful of the beliefs of others. Explain why your belief is important to you.

Understand the other person’s motivations. If you know what another person wants, you are more likely to be able to give it to them.
Rephrase your beliefs in a way that the other person is better able to understand.

Follow up. Ask questions to make sure the other person understands their new views completely.

Tips
To hold the eye of a crowd select individuals in the crowd and hold their eyes on-and-off through your presentation.
Never lose your cool. Nothing lacks conviction more than a raving idiot.
Always be friendly and respectful even if the other person does not change their mind.
Beliefs fade. You may think you have changed somebodies mind but find that in a day or two, perhaps a week, they are right back to where they were before.
Buy and read some books on sales techniques.
