Keep That Natural Beauty Look Forever

Sophia Loren is a great example of an aging star who still would be considered as one the most beautiful women in the world. You too can keep that natural beauty look forever.

A lot has been written about natural beauty and most articles talk about natural beauty being related to drinking water, eating fresh fruits and vegetables, taking vitamins, exercising, and so on. It is commonly said that natural beauty look starts from within.
While mature natural beauty is a complicated and detailed subject, an in depth review of the literature really boils it down to the following items.

1. Not drinking coffee, and certainly not to an excess, is a major contributor to long-lasting natural beauty. Drink tea instead, which actually promotes healthy collagen and a youthful look.

2. Using all-natural cosmetics and enhancers.

3. If you want to have natural beauty and have the look last forever, avoid, avoid, avoid direct sun on your skin. Always wear a hat or other skin covering to protect the skin's collagen. Never leave the house without at least SPF 8-15 that protects from all of the sun's harmful rays.

4. Not smoking may be the most significant thing you can do to enhance natural beauty. As we know, smoking has a number of other critical health issues as well.

5. Eat healthy and natural beauty will enhance mature natural beauty over your lifetime. We all know not to eat deep-fried greasy foods, an excess of meat, and foods high in sugar and poor carbohydrates. Recent studies indicate the two most significant factors leading to premature skin aging are cigarette smoking and drinking coffee. In order to keep that natural beauty look forever, avoiding the direct sunlight is an absolute must.
Direct sunlight, in combination with smoking and coffee, are a guaranteed recipe for early age skin wrinkling, puffiness, and rough texture. To keep that natural beauty look forever, it is imperative, even while we are young, to carefully plan for our later years.

While we probably all should have started all of the above items sooner in our lives, we can improve our natural beauty immediately by embracing the five steps to mature natural beauty.
All natural anti-aging skin care cream, lotions, acne treatments, sun block enhance the natural beauty tips and advice so readily given. While healthy skin does start withinPsychology Articles, anti-aging skin care products are the final touch.

How's your posture?

Want to feel good about your work, your family . . . yourself? Try picking up that chin and pulling back those shoulders. That's right -- carry yourself with confidence. Studies have found that people who consciously improve their posture actually end up improving their self-esteem. When you carry yourself with confidence, not only do you feel better about yourself, but you make a better impression on other people, too. You know, like that new boss you're dying to impress. If you’ve ever spent time sitting slouched on the couch with your laptop or had to live through a long night curled up like a worm on your bed staring into the screen, you will probably feel pain. Unfortunately, with time, it gets worse, tight neck will turn into a chronic back problem, and sore eyes will lead to myopia. But does this mean you have to kick out your brand new 1000£ machine? Not yet. But if you plan to use a laptop as your primary computer, it does mean that you will need to start taking some steps right now to prevent stress and strain:

Elevate the screen so that you don’t have to bend your neck and back

Try to sit straight, pay attention to your posture

Learn to set up your work station correctly, use external mouse and keyboard if possible, take regular breaks, stretch your body

If you still feel aches and pains- get rid of it before it kills you !!

Simple Steps to Start the Exercise Habit

I have to admit that I have my ups and downs with the exercise habit. So I know that it’s not the easiest habit for most people, and most people’s experiences consist of starting and stopping and starting again. Which is fine — don’t beat yourself up about it. The important thing is starting again.

The Main Problems

So why do most people have trouble making exercise a regular habit? Well, there are probably a number of factors, but here are the main ones as I see it:

1. Too difficult

People set out with a lot of ambition and enthusiasm, and start out with a big goal. “I’m going to go to the gym for an hour a day!” or “I’m going to run 30 minutes every day!” The problem is that the goal is too difficult to sustain for very long. You can do it for a few days, but you soon run out of energy, and it becomes a drag to do it.

2. Too many goals
Often we set out to do too much. We want to run, and lift weights, and eat healthy, and quit sweets, and stop drinking soda. Well, those are multiple goals, and you cannot focus on the exercise habit if you’re trying to do all the others at the same time. Or we might start with one goal, but then get caught up in another goal (to stop procrastinating, for example), and lose our focus on the first one.

3. Not enough motivation
It’s not a lack of discipline, it’s a lack of motivation. The most powerful motivators, in my experience, are logging your habit and public pressure. There are many others that help as well.

The 4 Simple Steps
So how do we solve those problems? Keep it simple. Here are the 4 simple steps to start the exercise habit (and keep it going). I should note that you can use these 4 steps to start any habit.

1. Set one easy, specific, measurable goal.

There are several keys to setting this crucial goal:
* Written: Write this down. Post it up. If you don’t write it down, it’s not important.

* Easy: Don’t — DO NOT — set a difficult goal. Set one that is super, super easy. Five minutes of exercise a day. You can do that. Work your way to 10 minutes after a month. Then go to 15 after 2 months. You can see what I mean: make it easy to start with, so you can build your habit, then gradually increase.

* Specific: By specific, I mean what activity are you going to do, at what time of day, and where? Don’t just say “exercise” or “I’m going to walk”. You have to set a time and place. Make it an appointment you can’t miss.

* Trigger: I recommend that you have a “trigger” right before you do your habit. For example, you might always brush your teeth right after you shower. The shower is the trigger for brushing your teeth, and because of that, you never forget to brush your teeth. Well, what will you do right before you exercise? Is it right after you wake up? Right after your coffee? Right when you get home? As soon as you take off for lunch? A trigger that you do every single day is important.
* Measurable: By measurable, I mean that you should be able to say, definitely, whether you hit or miss your goal today. Examples: run for 10 minutes. Walk 1/2 a mile. Do 3 sets of 5 pushups. Each of those has a number that you can shoot for.

* One goal: Stick to this one goal for at least a month. Two months if you can bear it. Don’t start up a second goal during that 30-day period. If you do, you are scrapping this goal.

2. Log it daily.
This is the key habit. If you can log your workout, you will start to see your progress, and it will motivate you to keep going. And you have to make it a habit to log it right away. Don’t put it off, and say you’ll do it before you go to bed. As soon as you’re done working out, log it. No exceptions. And don’t make the log complicated — that will only make you resist doing the log. Just the date, time, and what you did.

3. Report to others.
I think this is key. You can do it on your blog, on an online forum, with your spouse, or friends or family, or a workout partner, or a coach, or a group, or a class. However you set it up, make it part of the process that you have to report your daily workout to other people. It could be using an online log, or on a forum, or through email, or the phone, or just by telling your co-workers what you did this morning. But be sure that they know your goal, and that you are going to report to them, and be sure that they are expecting it every day.

4. Add motivation as needed.
The first three steps might be enough for you to get the habit going. But if not, don’t just give up. If you miss two consecutive workouts, you need to look at why, and add a new motivation. Rewards, more public pressure, inspiration, whatever it takes. Read this article for more on this. You can add one additional motivator, and then see if it works. If you miss two more consecutive workouts at any time, add another motivator. And so on, until the exercise habit sticks.

This 2012, People will Stop Aging

This year scientists will complete the development elixir of youth.

Until recently, the elixir of youth was only a concept, which is often used in mythology and fiction. Take it heroes tales and legends rid of all the negative effects of aging and for all stop the degradation of human systems. Of course, few of us would have refused "Rejuvenating apples" in real life, but still hopes for the invention elixir of youth is not justified.

But science does not stand still. According to the American scientist Nir Barzilai of the College of Medicine in New York, the elixir of youth will be available for testing already this 2012. According to Nir, our genetic inheritance is most important in determining how young we look like and how strong is our health. Our planet is now living a lot of people, whose age exceeded 100 years, which maintain fine form and can drive a car, engage in creative activities and even work.

According to the scientist, this is an indication that a person as a species have the ability to live more than a hundred years and prevent the development of deadly diseases. There is a special kind of longevity genes that prevent the development of heart disease and cancer. So, in order to treat people from aging, DNA must be extracted from these genes and their use for preparation of the elixir of youth.

Immortality, scientists still do not promise, but to slow aging begin in a few years after the series of experiments. The result of this work is to create a pill or syrup, which for the rejuvenation of the body have to be taken every day, starting from the age of 50.

5 Steps to a Great Body

Here are some interesting exercises that can be done at home easily without any equipment. Also you can do it wherever you want!
Do one to three sets of each exercise, with eight to 15 repetitions per set.

Step 1: The warm up
Leg lifts: Stand with your feet apart at hip width. Place your hands on your hips. Bend both knees slightly and shift most of your weight onto your left leg.
Keeping your knee slightly bent, lift your right leg up and out to the side, about six inches. Lower to the original position. Repeat with the right leg, then with the left.
Arm curls: Use hand weights or dumbbells. Hold a weight in each hand, arms at your sides, palms facing forward.
Stand with your feet apart at hip width, knees slightly bent. Curl the weights up to your shoulders, then lower to the original position.

Step 2: Stretch exercises
Hamstring stretch: Lie on the floor and stretch your legs. Raise your left leg, using a towel to assist, until you feel the tension in your hamstring. Hold. Repeat on other side.
Inner thigh stretches: Sit on floor; place the soles of your feet together. Drop your knees toward floor. Gradually, lower your torso towards the floor until you feel a gentle tension in your inner thighs. Release.
Modified hurdler: Sit on floor, right leg extended, left foot against the right knee. Lower your torso and reach for your ankle until your hamstring feels tight. Repeat on other side.

Step 3: Floor exercises
Crunches: Lie on the floor with your feet hip width apart. Cradle your head in your hands without lacing your fingers together and with your elbows pointed slightly inward.
Tilt your chin a little bit toward your chest and pull your abdominal muscles in.
Exhale through your mouth as you curl your head, neck and shoulders up off the floor. Hold this position for a moment, then inhale as you return to your original position.
Squats: Stand tall with your feet apart at hip width, with your weight slightly back on your heels. Place your hands on your hips. Sit back and down as if you're sitting into a chair directly behind you. Lower as far as you can without leaning your upper body more than a few inches forward (this depends on your flexibility and your build).
If you can bend your knees far enough so that your thighs are parallel to the floor, stop. Don't allow your knees to travel out in front of your toes. Once you feel your upper body fold forward over your thighs, straighten your legs and stand up. Take care not to lock your knees as you complete the movement.
Push-ups: Lie on your stomach. Bend your knees and cross your ankles. Bend your elbows and place your palms on the floor, in front of your shoulders and a bit to the side. Straighten your arms and lift your body so you are balanced on your palms and knees.
Tuck your chin a few inches towards your chest so that your forehead faces the floor. Tighten your abdominal muscles. Bend your elbows and lower your entire body at once. Rather than trying to touch your chest to the floor, lower until your upper arms are parallel to the floor. Push back up.

Step 4: Stretching exercises
Dips: Sit at the edge of the desk or on a sturdy chair. Place your hands with the palms facing your body. Slide yourself off the seat and support yourself with just with your hands. Slowly lower yourself by bending your elbows until your upper arms are parallel to the floor, and then press yourself back.
Lunges: Stretch your legs a stride's distance apart. Slowly bend your knees until you are in a kneeling position with your knees not quite touching the floor. Don't look down; don't allow your knees to shoot out past your toes. Return to your original position.

Step 5: Face exercises
~ Tilt your head backwards. Let your upper lip cover your lower lip. Maintain the posture as you curl your tongue up inside the mouth and press it against your upper palette. Then smile.
~ This exercise helps to get rid of furrows and lines on the forehead. All you have to do is lift the eyebrows upward and open your eyes wider with each count.
~ Place the entire thumb inside your mouth, between the teeth of the upper jaw and the upper lip. Press the upper lip back into the teeth so that your thumb is squeezed.

5 Things to Consider Before Getting a Cut or Color

Thinking of sporting a new do for fall? Well, before you walk into the salon and ask for the modern-day-equivalent of “The Rachel” (aka Jennifer Aniston’s famed shag in Friends) and walk out in tears because the look just doesn’t work for you, listen to what Arsen Gurgov, a lead stylist at top NYC salon Louis Licari, told The Beauty Bean about all things hair!

Steer Clear of Trends. Trend is a word best used without the word HAIR!! When looking for the next big trend in hair, remember…not every trend will look right for your hair type. Trends in the way of hair are best for hair styles, not cuts.

Be Self-Aware. When determining what cut works best for you, keep in mind:
Hair texture. You wouldn’t want to go with a pixie if you have thinning hair.
Lifestyle. Don’t pick a trendy cut that will require too much up keep if you have newborn twins.
Profession. Just because you work in a corporate environment does not mean you cannot look stylish. But don’t go overboard (blond chunks underneath dark hair trend is best for women under 30).

Test Your Color. Always do a strand test when coloring your hair at home. Every box of hair color will give directions. Choose a shade that is one to two shades lighter than your natural when lightening. If you plan to do a complete color change, we always suggest seeing a professional.

Avoid a Bad Cut. The best way to avoid a terrible haircut is to go into the salon with pictures of exactly what it is you want. Have a consultation prior to the actual appointment. Most salons give them free.

Recover from a Mishap. If you get a hair cut that sends you crying and hiding from the world, pull it together, fake it, and remember that it’s hair and IT WILL GROW BACK! Nothing is sexier than a confident woman. (If all else fails, most drug stores or beauty supply stores sell hair pieces and clip in extensions. There are even headbands with bangs that will fool just about anyone. Hair accessories are also a great way to disguise hair disasters!) LINKS

5 Ways to Become Attractive

While you're sitting there reading this you're going to learn that beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. When it comes to being attractive it all starts with how you feel about yourself. If you don't think of yourself as attractive you won't be able to exude this image when in public. So to better help you begin feeling attractive.

Here is a list of steps you can take.

#1 Take Proper Care of Yourself: This means that your diet should be a healthy one. It should be the one which is low calorie and low fat, and devoid of fast food. The majority of your meals should be filled with brightly colored vegetables and fruits. In addition, you should also have a strenuous workout regimen, one in which you exercise at least five times per week. Lastly, don't forget to drink plenty of water. In fact, water should be mostly what you drink because it help cleanses impurities from the body.

#2 Don't Subscribe to All the Latest Fads: Fads come and go, especially in the beauty and health industry. The sad fact is that most of these fads are scams and don't work. The only scientifically proven way to stay healthy and attractive long into old age is through a healthy diet and exercise.

#3 Don't Compare Yourself to Others: An attractive person is one who stands out from the rest of the pack, so it's amazing that most people strive to look like certain celebrities. Look, the fact of the matter is that no matter how hard a person tries they will never be able to mold their body and feature to look like their favorite famous person. Instead of focusing on this, they should focus on becoming attractive in a unique way. This approach will get a person noticed much faster.

#4: Don't Wear Yourself Out: Starving yourself and forcing yourself through rigorous exercise in the gym day in and day out is counterproductive to looking attractive and being healthy. Of course, you want to be thin. But you should not be so thin that you look sick. You can kill yourself in the gym everyday if you want, but you must make sure that you're eating a properly balanced diet so that your body can benefit from the exercise properly.

#5 Be Committed: You should understand that being healthy and attractive is a lifetime commitment. Sure, occasionally you're going to slip and eat a big greasy hamburger. But understand that 99.9% of the time you won't be doing this. There's absolutely no way around this. If you're not committed to the lifestyle you won't be able to live it. We live in a society where everyone has become obsessed with how other people see them. If you truly want to become attractive and start standing out then you have to follow the steps above, as well as build self-confidence in yourself that you're an attractive person. If you can do this, other people will pick up on this and you truly will be an attractive person.

5 Things You Must Do If You Want To Be Beautiful

By: Caterina Christakos
Being beautiful is more about
preparation and less about what you are born with.
Work with what you have diligently and daily and you have a recipe for true beauty.

Here are 5 tips to put into use immediately:

1.
Know What You Want Ahead of Time Go through magazines and find someone with your body and skin type who has had a makeover. If you are considering a hair makeover, as well, then look through hair magazines for women with your hair type.

2.
Create a Daily and Weekly Ritual of Beauty Once you know what you want, create a daily skin care ritual and a once a week pampering session. At the very least this should include - cleanser, moisturizer and an at home facial. If you have acne try Proactiv Solution 4-piece with Daily Oil Control

3.
Head to the Counter Go to the Beauty Counter at any Major Department Store and have them give you a free consultation. You do not need a million products! Start with the basics - powder, lip liner, lip gloss, blush, a basic eye shadow pack and mascara.

4.
Practice Applying Makeup Spend 10 - 15 minutes a day practicing applying your makeup for the first week. Remember to always apply, at the bare minimum, some lip gloss and mascara before leaving the house. Get out the magazine that you found with the look you want and practice recreating it. Tip - Just remember that these models have been digitally enhanced so go for as close as possible without beating yourself up if it is not exactly the same.

5. Gut Your Closet once every 6 months Go to your closet right now and give away anything that you haven't worn in the last two years. Throw out the shirts and jeans that are falling apart or that are so faded that you can barely tell what color they are. And get some good sturdy hangers to hang your clothes on. Finally budget some money to get a few key pieces to complete what is left of your wardrobe.

Tip:
Set up a savings account that has a certain amount automatically taken out of your paycheck each week. You decide the amount. Then treat yourself every 3 - 6 months to a new outfit or pampering session.
Take these basics and use them on a daily basis. The beauty industry knows that being beautiful is about enhancing what you have. Take their little secret to heart and practice it daily.

4 Bad Habits that can Age You by 12 years

Four common bad habits combined - smoking, drinking too much, inactivity and poor diet - can age you by 12 years, sobering new research suggests. The findings are from a study that tracked nearly 5,000 British adults for 20 years, and they highlight yet another reason to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Overall, 314 people studied had all four unhealthy behaviors. Among them, 91 died during the study, or 29 per cent. Among the 387 healthiest people with none of the four habits, only 32 died, or about 8 per cent.

The risky behaviors were: smoking tobacco; downing more than three alcoholic drinks per day for men and more than two daily for women; getting less than two hours of physical activity per week; and eating fruits and vegetables fewer than three times daily. These habits combined substantially increased the risk of death and made people who engaged in them seem 12 years older than people in the healthiest group, said lead researcher Elisabeth Kvaavik of the University of Oslo .

The study appears in Archives of Internal Medicine . The healthiest group included never-smokers and those who had quit; teetotalers, women who had fewer than two drinks daily and men who had fewer than three; those who got at least two hours of physical activity weekly; and those who ate fruits and vegetables at least three times daily. “You don't need to be extreme'' to be in the healthy category, Kvaavik said. “These behaviors add up, so together it's quite good. It should be possible for most people to manage to do it.''

For example, one carrot, one apple and a glass of orange juice would suffice for the fruit and vegetable cutoffs in the study, Kvaavik said, noting that the amounts are pretty modest and less strict than many guidelines. The U.S. government generally recommends at least 4 cups of fruits or vegetables daily for adults, depending on age and activity level; and about 2 hours of exercise weekly.

Study participants were 4,886 British adults aged 18 and older, or 44 years old on average. They were randomly selected from participants in a separate nationwide British health survey. Study subjects were asked about various lifestyle habits only once, a potential limitation, but Kvaavik said those habits tend to be fairly stable in adulthood. Death certificates were checked for the next 20 years. The most common causes of death included heart disease and cancer, both related to unhealthy lifestyles. Kvaavik said her results are applicable to other westernized nations including the United States.

June Stevens, a University of North Carolina public health researcher, said the results are in line with previous studies that examined the combined effects of health-related habits on longevity. The findings don't mean that everyone who maintains a healthy lifestyle will live longer than those who don't, but it will increase the odds, Stevens said.

Breast Enhancing Diet

Getting bigger breasts is a wish that many women have throughout the world. And unfortunately, the only popular way has been to get expensive and risky surgery.

This is a big problem, leaving many women lacking in self confidence, but it's actually quite easy to solve.

There are millions of women throughout the world who would like to get bigger breasts, and to do it, you just need to be able to do one thing well – you need to be able to get a lot of estrogen into your body. Estrogen is the "female hormone", which is responsible for making your body more curvy and your breasts bigger. It's also the reason why so many women have breasts that they'd rather grow.

The problem with estrogen is simple. You see, during puberty, this hormone is pumped through your body to make it change from that of a girl into a woman. Estrogen kick-starts your menstrual cycle, makes you more curvy and starts to grow the breasts. It's very important, and the reason why so many women don't have the breasts they'd want, is because they come out of puberty too early, preventing their breasts from developing properly.

From the ages of 12-16, women's bodies are full of estrogen. This is puberty and now is the time when most changes happen. However, when puberty stops, the levels of estrogen in your body are dramatically reduced, leaving your breasts to remain at that size throughout your adult life. This means that to make your breasts grow bigger naturally, you just need to be able to consume more estrogen, and luckily, it's a naturally occurring substance which you can get from many different plants and herbs.

Estrogen is present in plants, where it is called "Phyto-Estrogen" (literally translated as "plant estrogen"). Because estrogen is available from nature, you can actually consume it from the food such as flax seeds, soy beans and even Tofu. There is a wide variety of estrogen-rich foods, which you can eat to make your breasts grow by up to one-two cup sizes.
Note :
However, you need to be careful because there's a certain level of estrogen that is effective... otherwise, it can leave unwanted side effects on your body.

So now having bigger breasts is not a fantasy. Chomp your way into these foods and watch heads turn!

Hair Removal Methods

Bleaching, Shaving, Plucking, Waxing, and Sugar Waxing

The desire to remove excess or dark hair usually begins in adolescence and seems to continue until the day we die. Whether it is hair on the face, armpits, legs, bikini line, or other body parts, many women AND men are intent upon having the hair on their scalp be the only visible hair on their bodies. With the emphasis on smooth, hairless skin, it is interesting to note that excess hair, especially in women, is still a taboo subject.

There are many options available to remove unwanted hair, but few options to get rid of hair permanently. The different methods of hair removal from the old stand-by, shaving, to the new treatments, lasers and Vaniqa, are discussed here. Each person should chose a method or combination of methods that works best for them depending on cost, time available, skin type, and the desired hair-free area.

Hair Growth

Understanding how hair grows helps us understand how to keep hair from growing. Each hair is contained in a pilosebaceous unit, which consists of a hair shaft, hair follicle, sebaceous gland, and erector pili muscle. Hair growth and shedding is a continuous cycle through 3 phases. The anagen phase is the growth phase, the catagen phase is a transitional state, and the telogen phase is the resting phase. Hairs spend a variable amount of time in each phase determined by genetics, hormones, and area of the body. Hair in the anagen phase is more susceptible to injury than hair in the telogen phase. All of these factors must be considered when choosing a method of hair removal.

Bleaching

Bleaching is actually not a hair removal method, but rather a way to make the hair less noticeable. This is especially useful for areas that already have thin but dark and therefore noticeable hair like the arms, face, or neck. Bleaching is performed by applying a chemical to the desired area, which removes the pigment from the hair.

Hair Removal with Shaving

Shaving is the most temporary method of hair removal because it merely cuts the hair off at the skin surface. Shaving does not make the hair shaft thicker, darker, or grow faster or slower. However, the short hair shaft may be more noticeable as it grows out because it has a blunt tip instead of the normal tapered tip. Shaving should be done after applying some type of moisturizer to the skin to help the razor glide over the skin, not cut or scrape it. Common moisturizers include water, shaving cream, hair conditioner, or body wash.

Physical Hair Removal

Physically pulling the hair out of the follicle is a common and fairly inexpensive method of hair removal. None of these methods changes the color, texture, or density of the hair. The hair takes longer to grow back because it must grow to the surface of the skin before it is noticed. Because hair grows at different rates, some of the hair that has been physically removed may take more time to grow back in. Repeatedly pulling hair out of the follicle may damage the follicle enough over time to keep it from producing more hair.

Temporary Methods

Hair removal can be achieved through depilation (removing part of the hair above the skin's surface) or epilation (removing the entire hair). For many consumers, temporary methods at regular intervals are acceptable.

Depilation lasting several hours to several days can be achieved by:

Shaving or trimming (manually or with electric shavers)

Depilatories (creams or "shaving powders" which chemically dissolve hair)

Friction (rough surfaces used to buff away hair)

Epilation lasting several days to several weeks can be achieved by:

Tweezing

Waxing (a hot or cold layer is applied and then removed with porous strips)

Sugaring (similar to waxing, but with a sticky paste)

Threading (also called fatlah or khite, in which a twisted thread catches hairs as it's rolled across the skin)

Rotary epilators (devices which rapidly grasp hairs and pull them out by the root)

Physical Hair Removal - Plucking

Plucking hair with tweezers is an effective way to remove hair but can be very time consuming. The hair shaft must be long enough to grasp with tweezers.

Physical Hair Removal - Waxing

Waxing is an effective method of removing large amounts of hair at one time. In this method wax is warmed to allow it to be spread easily over the skin in the direction of hair growth. The hair becomes embedded in the wax, which cools and firms up grasping the hair. The wax is then quickly pulled off in the opposite direction of the hair growth, pulling the hairs out of the follicles. Cold waxes are available usually attached to strips, which are patted onto the skin. Wax that is still left on the skin must be peeled or scratched off. Caution must be used when heating wax so as not to burn the skin.

Physical Hair Removal - Sugar Waxing

Sugar waxing is a popular form of hair removal that works in the same way traditional waxing does. A thick sugary substance similar to caramel is spread on the skin in the direction of hair growth. The hair becomes embedded in the caramel. A cloth or paper strip is patted onto the caramel and then pulled off quickly in the opposite direction of the hair growth, pulling the hairs out of the follicles. The advantage of this method over traditional waxing is the clean up. The sugar substance is water-soluble and can be removed easier than wax by rinsing with water.

Ten Beauty Rules

1) Don't neglect your feet

You travel every day by local transport and your poor feet are exposed to pollution and people stamp your footsies without sympathy. By the end of the day your feet still look ok in spite of it being dusty so you don't bother. But this abuse continues for days and eventually the skin of your feet is peeling off, it's bruised, and you can see ugly marks and painful blisters. If possible, wear close foot wear, moisturise your feet before you sleep and use an exfoliating scrub in the shower.

2) Remove your make up before going to bed

There's nothing worse you can do for your skin than by not removing make up before you sleep. It's a sure way to multiply those pimples on your face. It helps to use a day protection cream before applying your make up to protect it from seeping into your skin so as to avoid pigmentation. You need to let your skin breathe, so moisturise it before you go to sleep so that's it's ready to beat the next day's heat.

3) Use moisturiser with SPF

The sun can do a lot more damage to your skin than you think. You do not want to end up with flaking, tanned and spotted skin do you? Whether you are using a moisturiser or foundation, make sure they contain SPF of at least 20.

4) Never use make up after it's expiry date

Expiry dates have their purpose! Make up should be replaced every six months. Using expired make up can create a lot of skin problems in the long and short run. Using expired make up can cause rashes and irritation to your skin.

5) Find your perfect shade of red!

There's nothing worse than a shade of red lipstick that does not suit you. Red is probably one of the trickiest shades. You can end up getting it right or horribly wrong. Don't just rush to the nearest make up store because Megan Fox used the same shade to look fab. Try shades from different make up brands and good luck finding 'your' shade.

6) Use a gentle face wash

Keep acne at bay by washing your face. Hop straight into the washroom after you get to work (or college) and wash your face. Make it an everyday habit. If your skin is oily then use a deep cleansing face-wash with or without lather. If your skin is dry then use a dry hydrating one by which I do not mean further drying with no lather.

7) Sleep, drink water and eat fruits

Some of the best and easiest ways for clear and glowing skin are - sleeping for the right amount of time, oversleeping or less sleep can take a toll on your skin. Sleep for eight hours everyday, drink two liters of water and eat fruits as much as possible. Within weeks you will see the effects these have on your skin.

8) Massage your hands every night

Hands are the first to show signs of ageing. Keep them soft and younger looking by massaging them with a moisturiser everyday. If you are the one in the house who does the washing after everyone is done with eating then your hands are prone to dryness especially with washing soap. To prevent this why not use washing gloves!

9) Keep your tresses luscious

When washing your hair make sure you condition, massage your hair gently for sometime before you wash off the conditioner. Don't blow dry, curl or straighten your hair everyday, it will cause damage and split ends. And always remember to trim your hair at least once in every two months. Pick a treatment which could also be a protein or spa treatment depending on your hair type.

10) Don't over blush

Why would you want to end up looking like a clown? Even though it's tricky, it's not impossible. All you need to know is when to stop using that brush and blush on your cheek bones. Remember blush is to enhance or highlight your cheekbones.
