Natural Beauty Tips

Sleeping on your back will prevent many wrinkles and breakouts on your face, and even wrinkles in your cleavage area.

Wearing clothes that are tight make you look heavier. Even a slim girl can bulge over too-tight jeans.

Put on a coat of clear nail polish before a colored polish to keep your nails from discoloring.

Being angry really does take away from your beauty now and will result in more wrinkles later.

Wearing less make-up makes you look younger.

Vitamins and minerals are needed for health and beauty, but more is not always better. Too much Vitamin A or Selenium can cause hair loss. There is nothing beautiful about losing your hair.

If you are unhappy with a hair conditioner, it will still make a great "shaving cream" for your legs in the shower.

When shaving, don't stretch the skin or you could cause ingrown hairs by shaving hair off slightly under the skin.

Drink plenty of water and get eight hours of sleep every day.

Tighten bra straps as they stretch out, or buy a new bra when they can't tighten any further, to keep the bosom looking young and perky.

Instead of shaving over and over, with the hairs coming in darker and thicker each time, try waxing. Waxing to remove hair will result in softer hairs each time and result in permanent hair loss after a few sessions. Aussie Nad's is an all-natural product which is easy to use.

Sleeping on two or three pillows at a time, or on an Acid Reflux Sleep Wedge will help get rid of dark circles under your eyes.

Exercise while dieting is a must or your skin will be too large (and saggy) for your smaller body. It is much, much tougher to tighten skin after your body shrinks than as you go.

After washing your face, rinse in cold water (fair-skinned people should use cool instead of cold) to close the pores and tighten the facial muscles.

If you are out of quick-dry spray for nails, dip your fingers into a bowl of ice-cold water. (Don't to touch the sides of the bowl.) Your nails will dry very quickly.

Good posture can make you look much slimmer.

Wearing a low heel will give you better posture than wearing flat shoes.

Renew thick nail polish by adding a few drops of fingernail polish remover to the bottle.

Make a nail polish bottle not get stuck closed, put a thin coat of Vaseline inside the lid.

Clean hair brushes occasionally with dish soap and borax. In a dishpan of very warm water, add 1/2 cup of borax and a few drops of liquid dish soap. Swish the brushes to stir, rinse, and let air dry. Scrub any stubborn spots with a used toothbrush.

" … for such things must happen first…” – Luke 21:9

I stand in the middle of two seemingly opposing camps: owners and employees. As HR manager, it is my role to bridge the gap between these two camps so we can move our organization to its vision.
Recently, an organizational development program opened many issues that had previously lain dormant.
Employees started being vocal, which resulted to hurt feelings, bruised egos, demotivation and resignations.
Still, I did not lose hope even if at times I got carried away by the rising temperature.
My belief is that to move from Here to There, steps have to be taken, boulders need to be moved and walls have to be scaled.
These are all necessary movements so we can smoothen the path to where we want to go.
And bold movements stir the system, the status quo. People become afraid and ask, “Where are we going?”
Family Systems Theory says that most of the time, we resist the very changes that we seek — because it hurts.
In our spiritual journey, we call that pruning or purification. They have a purpose: a better you.-Tess Atienza

REFLECTION:
Going through a turbulent period in your life? Hold on — listen to what God is trying to tell you through it.
Don’t let go of my hands, Lord, when times are rough.

How to Ask a Girl Out

3 Most Important Keys You Must Know Before You Consider Asking a Girl Out.

When you think about asking a girl out, do you smile, or do you fret?
It is enough to make even the most cool cat sweat bullets when thinking about asking a girl out. Here are some top tips to help you with asking a girl out without getting swatted.

No Pick Up Lines-
This is one area that you will wish that you hadn't used. Most of the old pick up lines are so cheesy and out of date that you will be laughed at if you choose this route.
This also goes for old movie lines. The corniness factor will label you a doof ball instead of a cool cat. Don't use pick up lines. Be you and the ladies will appreciate you for it.

Change the Words-
Instead of using words like dating, how about using the term" hanging out"? By not mentioning the word date, you are more likely to get dates than if you use the word date.
Date typically stereotypes the person asking, and it is better not to even mention the word date. By using a different expression, you are better opening up the girl to answer yes, instead of no.

Tell Her the Itinerary-
Dude, when asking a girl out, always let her know what the itinerary is.
This doesn't mean a blow by blow issue, but just a general thought. If you are asking her out, and you want to go grab some dinner at Outback, then tell her that.

The dating game is full of trial and error. These tips will help to balance the scales so that you get more yes than no. Making a girl feel at ease is a good way to break the ice and ask her out for a date. Try these tips on for size the next time you want to ask a girl out.

6 Keys to Success

Right off the bat: Don't confuse how much money one has as to his or her success!
These keys will not unlock any opportunities of success without first having a strong and unfailing faith in God or that Being which is greater than you. Please don't go through life as your "own little god."
I encourage you to memorize these six keysby using the word ADVICE to do so.

Attitude
Bloom where you are planted. You have a choice to get back up after temporary set backs. Attitude is a small thing that makes a big difference!

Direction

If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there. Write your short term goals down on paper. I have discovered and continue to discover that putting your dreams and goals down on paper lock in or focus your belief that they can be achieved--even if you have to take a course correction in achieving your goals. Success comes in cans, failure comes in can'ts.

Values

Explore what is important to you. Maybe it is family, friends, your spirituality or working hard at any given task. I can assure you that your priorities will change as you grow older. Very important that you value yourself and treat yourself like the valuable gift from God that you are.

Interests
Birds of a feather flock together. This is to say that if you are hanging around winners or others with a "can do" mind-set, you'll likely adapt to this same kind of thinking. Remember--"SUCCESS LEAVES CLUES!

Commitment
Feelings may change, commitments do not. "Success is getting up one more time than you fall." I have often wanted to give up, and then I must think to myself about what the consequences of giving up will be. Generally, this is more than enough of a motivation to make us stick to the task at hand even if we don't feel like it. When the task is achieved, Whow!--IT FEELS GREAT!

Encouragement
Be an encourager and comforter to friends that are feeling discouraged. I promise that you will not regret this as you will be encouraged by one, if not many, when you are feeling down. Encouragement and love are contagious qualities that can change the minds of the most stubborn and "hard-to-get-along-with" people you know. I have seen it happen over and over again.
Hang tough, press on, & NEVER, EVER, EVER, quit!

Ways to Stay Young

1. Throw out nonessential numbers:
This includes age, weight, and height.Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends:
The grouches pull you down. (Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!)

3. Keep learning:
Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle.'An idle mind is the devil's workshop. 'And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!

4. Enjoy the simple things:

5. Laugh often, long and loud:
Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who mak es you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with him or her!

6. The tears happen:
Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourself. LIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love:
Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health:
If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips:
Take a trip to the mall, even to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

Unchap & Beautify your Lips

Unchap and beautify your lips with this technique.

For soft, beautifully kissable lips, you need the following:
a washcloth (I’m not kidding either), warm water, and your favorite brand of lip balm.
First you apply a coat of lip balm.
Then wet one corner of the washcloth, put the warm wet corner of the washcloth between your lips, press them together and hold for 5 seconds.
Then gently massage any remaining lip balm from lips with the wet corner of the washcloth, and dry lips with a corner thats dry.
Apply lip balm again to keep your lips chap free.
You may also apply lipstick or lip gloss on over the layer of lip balm.
I learned this was the best way to keep lips from chapping, after going through too many winters with dried, and chapped lips.

Clear up pimples, and get beautiful skin.
For clear glowing skin, a little home remedy does wonders for my complexion, as it should with yours too.
Steam your face for 20 minutes every night after washing it, then every other night after steaming your face, massage a half teaspoon castor oil over face.
Leave it on at night while you sleep and wash off immediately upon waking.
Steam face for twenty more minutes in the morning after washing.
When you finish steaming your face splash your face with cool water and dry it.
If your skin starts to show any signs of a pimple forming.
Take one night off from steaming and applying castor oil and apply Benzoyl Peroxide over face. Take the next night off also from the steaming, castor oil, and benzoyl peroxide.
Continue facial regimen with steaming and castor oil the following night.
This beauty secret will moisturize your face at the same time it will help clear up acne and pimples.
But only if you work at it consistently.

What God can do with "57 Cents"

This story touched my heart.... A sobbing little girl stood near a small church from which she had been turned away because it was "too crowded.""
I can't go to Sunday School," she sobbed to the pastor as he walked by.
Seeing her shabby, unkempt appearance, the pastor guessed the reason and, taking her by the hand, took her inside and found a place for her in the Sunday school class.
The child was so happy that they found room for her, and she went to bed that night thinking of the children who have no place to worship Jesus.
Some two years later, this child lay dead in one of the poor tenement buildings. Her parents called for the kindhearted pastor who had befriended their daughter to handle the final arrangements.
As her poor little body was being moved, a worn and crumpled red purse was found which seemed to have been rummaged from some trash dump. Inside was found 57 cents and a note, scribbled in childish handwriting, which read:
"This is to help build the little church bigger so more children can go to Sunday School."For two years she had saved for this offering of love. When the pastor tearfully read that note, he knew instantly what he would do.
Carrying this note and the cracked, red pocketbook to the pulpit, he told the story of her unselfish love and devotion. He challenged his deacons to get busy and raise enough money for the larger building.
But the story does not end there...A newspaper learned of the story and published it. It was read by a wealthy realtor who offered them a parcel of land worth many thousands. When told that the church could not pay so much, he offered to sell it to the little church for 57 cents.
Church members made large donations. Checks came from far and wide.Within five years the little girl's gift had increased to $250,000.00--a huge sum for that time (near the turn of the century).
Her unselfish love had paid large dividends. When you are! in the city of Philadelphia, look up Temple Baptist Church, with a seating capacity of 3,300. And be sure to visit Temple University, where thousands of students are educated.
Have a look, too, at the Good Samaritan Hospital and at a Sunday School building which houses hundreds of beautiful children, built so that no child in the area will ever need to be left outside during Sunday School time.
In one of the rooms of this building may be seen the picture of the sweet face of the little girl whose 57 cents, so sacrificially saved, made such remarkable history.
Alongside of it is a portrait of her kind pastor, Dr. Russel H. Conwell, author of the book,"Acres of Diamonds"
This is a true story, which goes to show WHAT GOD CAN DO WITH 57 CENTS.

Nails - A Health Indicator..!

Having good-looking nails is great because every time you stretch a hand, people notice your manicure (or the lack of it) and this creates a positive or a negative impression about you but there is more to nails than pure vanity.
Nails are not only for decoration. Rather, they have another very important role – they serve as a health indicator.
Many diseases and conditions manifest themselves on the nails and if you know how to read these signs, you could be warned in advance about an internal disease you were unaware of.
Different diseases appear in different ways on the nails. Most often they leave marks on the nail bed (i.e. the largest part of the nail that we often identify the nail with) or the skin around the nail.
Aside from nail diseases like infections, ingrown nails, or separation and falling of the nail from the nail bed, nails get damaged by general body diseases and conditions. Sometimes when nails are ill, this does not mean anything else than a local nail condition but most often nails show symptoms of other diseases. Changes in the shape or the physical properties of nails can indicate health problems.
For example:
Brittle nails signalize about iron deficiency, biotin deficiency, kidney disorder, thyroid or circulation problems.
Very thick nails also indicate circulation problems.
Splitting and fraying nails are a symptom of Vitamin C deficiency, psoriasis, or lack of folic acid and proteins.
Itchy skin and thinning nails disclose lichen planus. Oxygen deficiency in the body (due to lung, heart or liver problems) leads to clubbing – i.e the nails curve down around the fingertips and the nail bed itself bulges.
When nails look like a spoon (i.e. they are concaved), this is a symptom of iron deficiency and/or lack of Vitamin B12.
Short small nail beds hint about a heart disease.
When nails have pits, this is a symptom of psoriasis.
Horizontal and vertical lines and grooves on the nails are a serious reason for worry because almost always they are associated with various serious diseases:
Vertical ridges appear due to arthritis.
Horizontal ridges are a result of too much stress (which is a reason to think about your whole way of life).
White stripes across the nail indicate liver or heart disease.
When your nails have a strange color, this might also tell a lot about your general condition. For instance:
Dark nails signalize about B12 deficiency.
Pale or white nails indicate anemia or problems with the kidneys/liver.
Red nails are often due to heart disease.
Pink and white nails are a symptom of a kidney disease.
Blue nail beds are the result of lack of oxygen in the blood, most likely due to asthma, emphysema or other lung and heart diseases.
Grey nail beds are a very serious symptom of diseases like arthritis, glaucoma, cardio diseases or excessive malnutrition.
Yellow nail beds signalize of liver disorders, diabetes, lymphatic diseases or chronic bronchitis.
The above examples are only some of the ways in which nails indicate about health problems. Although some of the symptoms can appear in healthy individuals as well, an experienced dermatologist can tell if your nails are OK or not. So, if you happen to have some of these symptoms, it is not necessary to panic – just visit a doctor and he or she will tell you if it is serious or not.
Sometimes nails change temporarily in shape and color, or are damaged accidentally (for instance by nail polish), so the fact that your nails look strange to you, mustn't alarm you. Only if the changes are permanent, then you should take measures. Nails are not a real-time indicator of the health status of the organism because they are the last parts of the body to receive blood and nutrients.
Also, nails tend to absorb various substances, so sometimes different kind of poisoning are still visible on the nails, though the poison itself has been thrown out of the body long ago. Besides, nails grow relatively slow, so the fact that you see lines, or stains, or whatever near the end of the nail, is more related to the past few months, than to the present. But if nails grow damaged from the root, this is an indication of a present unhealthy state of your body.

A Few Facts About Perfume

From the beginning of time some type of
perfume whether natural or man-made has been used to try and attract the opposite sex. King George III forbade the practice of wearing perfume due to prostitutes wearing it to attract clients. These days perfume is created by scientists specifically to attract the opposite sex.

The actual effect that results when someone smells a certain perfume is rooted in science. When you inhale an aroma of any kind a myriad of messages is sent through the olfactory nerve endings to the limbic system of the brain. This system oversees instinctive responses like emotional, sexual and aggressive behaviors.

Some scents such as vanilla and jasmine can stimulate neurochemicals in the brain being released to create a sexual response. Aromatherapy can be used for this and other purposes. The reason that we may be more attracted by one scent over another is caused primarily by pheromones which are significantly different in each of us.

Pheromones are most different between males and females and for obvious reasons. Male pheromones tend to be muskier than females which is why musk and sandalwood is so effective in attracting women to a man. The makers of perfumes search for the rarest animal sources they can find that are similar to the more erotic human pheromones.

Essential oils such as sandalwood, jasmine, and patchouli are sometimes included in the perfume blends. The ancients used scents and perfumes for a variety of reasons from seduction and celebrating holidays to getting warriors psyched up for battle. Perfumes these days are primarily used for attraction purposes but aromatherapy goes a good bit deeper and influences a great number of emotions.

If you want to try to blend you own perfumes you should begin with mixing the essential oils and absolutes then add them to neutral vegetable based oil. If you are creating a fragrance for your hair or clothing replace the vegetable oil with vodka or grain alcohol and place it in an atomizer for easy misting. Alcohol based scents will become better as they age so it is best to make them up and store them for a few weeks before use.

The Way to Study-For students

Was the last school year a disaster? Did you not get the grades you wanted and maybe even failed a course? Nevertheless, this year you are feeling a bit more ambitious and have set some goals. But have you thought about the way to approach your target?
Try this simple test with a friend. Starting from the top sequence, read these numbers at one per second and then signal a friend to recall each number at the end of each series. Most people can recall a maximum sequence of five to nine digits.
The way we study can either help or devastate our grades. When we begin to study, information enters our brain and is automatically sent to our short-term memory, in which by repetition, it can be maintain for a short period of time.
For this reason, the first and last few words/numbers are easily remembered. In some cases, that information is transferred to our long-term memory. In other cases, the information is forgotten because as more enters your memory, your brain begins to bump out information.
The long-term memory is a far more effective way to transfer information into a long-lasting source of stored memories. To store information in this part of your memory and prevent a bumping out effect, you need to practice concentrating on understanding the information or relating it to other things already known.
Here are some helpful tips to help you accomplish that desired grade:
CHUNKING:
Combine individual items into larger units of meaning. For definitions, try to understand what it means, instead of concentrating on what the textbooks tells you. Try to fit it into a larger picture (i.e. The course or other related definitions)
EXAMPLES:
Pay attention to these! Remember, in order to transfer information into our long-term memory, we need to relate it to other things already known. The editors include these to waste space and paper! They are there for a reason. And if there aren't any, make them up! Link them to events that have happened to you in the past or to information already known and stored.
ORGANIZATION:
When taking notes, organize the information into a hierarchical structure. It forces you to pay more attention to the main ideas, and later becomes an additional retrieval cue that helps to facilitate recall.
MASS PRACTICE:
Distribute your study and review time. Once you have spaced out your studying schedule, it later enables distributed practice. If you've studied something enough times over a period of time, you will begin to remember it without ever needing a trigger cue. It will just come naturally.
Try these tips and you will find studying a lot easier. Now your goals won't just be an ambition, it will be an achievement.

Where is God ?

“… the days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the son of Man, but you will not see it.” – Luke 17:22

When the 9/11 tragedy happened, a lot of people asked, “Where was God?”
He seemed to have been absent for such a disaster to happen.
Similarly, many people ask the same question when personal tragedies happen to their lives. “Where is God when I am down?”
But maybe we should also ask, “Where was God in my life when I was up?” when everything was doing well and great with my family, my business, my career.
Couldn’t it be that, blinded by worldly success, we’ve stopped seeing God in our lives when He was supposedly so present blessing us generously and abundantly?
But when terrible, dreadful and heartbreaking events strike us we start looking for Him again, even blaming Him for such misfortune.
God would never abandon us, especially in moments that we need Him the most. But for us to see Him clearly in our tragic moments we should train ourselves to see Him in our joyous times.
In fact, we should be seeing Him every time and every moment so that never will there come a day in our lives that we could no longer see Him. -Alvin Barcelona
REFLECTION:
Do you see God clearly in both happy and sad moments of your life?

O God, never hide from me. But more correctly, never allow me to hide from You so that I could see You all the days of my life. Amen.

Benefits of Walking Exercise

It is said that every person has two doctors with him... his right leg & his left leg. A vigorous 5 mile walk can do more good for an unhappy but otherwise healthy man than any medicine or psychology.
it is the easiest exercise for most individuals, one that can done without equipment except good shoes, in most terrains & weather & also in very old age.

What we are talking about is not just walking but brisk walking. Here are the benefits of the same--

Why walking ?

Walking is the most natural exercise known to man.

Besides this, here are the other benefits of walking ---

1 ) Walking improves circulation
Calf muscles are man's second heart. On walking, these muscles pump the blood to the heart with all force. This leads to greater heart exercise, increased oxygen requirement & better blood circulation.

2) Walking is good for the heart
The increased oxygen requirements lead to exercise for the heart. On a long term basis, it leads to a better circulation for the heart. Thus it reduces the chances of a heart attack.

3) Walking cuts fatigue
Once daily brisk walking has become a habit, you start reaping the benefits. Soon there is no need of any laxatives. No more low back ache. No more of that catch while bending. Above all, in shape body is not easily fatigued.

4) Walking improves the posture.

5) Psychological benefits
Many studies have shown enormous psychological benefits of walking. It has been shown that daily walking habit reduces anxiety, tension & improves mood.

What is "brisk walking"?

It has been shown that what works best is not walking but "brisk walking". Scientifically, it correlates with the pulse rate that you should achieve for the maximum benefit. However, simply speaking, brisk walking means : a level that's not just strolling; but not out pf breath either.
How many minutes a day should one walk briskly?
No study has established the exact time for the maximum benefit. However 45minutes to 1 hour is a good guide.

You can even incorporate it in your daily life style. That way you will automatically walk briskly to the office & for that matter anywhere.
A short brisk walk is is worth two miles of ambling. That way you will easily get minimal amount of good exercise every day. And, as striding becomes a habit, you will soon get more exercise, willingly.

How to Be Charming & Charismatic

Have you ever noticed how some people captivate everyone they speak to? No matter what they look like or how much money they have, they can walk into a room and instantly be the center of attention. When they leave, people think highly of them and want to emulate them. That’s charisma, a sort of magnetism that inspires confidence and adoration.
Like beauty, luck, and social position, charisma can open many doors in life. Unlike these other qualities, anyone can become more charismatic.

Improve your posture.
Good posture will give the impression of self confidence (even if you don’t feel that way on the inside).
While walking, maintain a relaxed yet definitive upright posture: spine long, shoulders back, head level with the ground. This may feel awkward or overpowering to you when you first practice it, but keep trying.

Relax the muscles in your face to the point where you have a natural, pleasant expression permanently engraved there. Face the world and show everyone you’re not afraid.

Make a connection.

When your eyes come in contact with another person’s, nod and smile subtly with a subdued joy shining forth. Don’t worry about the other person’s reaction and don’t overdo it.
Remember people’s names when you meet them for the first time. This takes an enormous amount of effort for most people.
Repeat the person’s name when stating your name to that person will help you to remember it better. For example: “Hi Jack, I’m Wendy.” Follow through with small talk and repeat the person’s name. Repeat it once more when you say goodbye.
It’s not just about helping you to remember that person. The more you say a person’s name, the more that person will feel that you like them and the greater the chance they’ll warm up to you.

Be interested in people.
If you meet a new acquaintance, for example a coworker, a classmate, a friend of a friend, etc. find out about their immediate family and interests. Be sure to ask after the names of family members and remember them.
Be careful in that subject though you don’t want to be nosy. If you ask too much they will become uncomfortable. Also ask after their particular interests in life. These two topics will ensure much better small talk than just harping on about school or work.
Most people don’t like to think about those things at social occasions unless they have to. Even if it is about networking, you should understand fully the worth of taking a break from talking shop. It is important to refrain from talking up about yourself. Be purely interested and impressed by the person with whom you are speaking.

Orient topics toward the audience.

This means taking into account topics that interest those around you, even if you are not so keen on them. If you are in a sporty crowd, talk about last night’s game or the meteoric rise of a new team.
If you are amongst a group of hobbyists, draw out their hobbies and make remarks related to fishing, knitting, mountain climbing, movies, etc. Nobody expects you to be an expert. It is your level of interest and willingness to engage in topics that makes you an interesting person to be around.

Exercise an open mind.
Let others do the explaining. If someone mistakenly thinks you know more about the topic, be genuine and simply say that your knowledge is limited but that you are hoping to learn more about it.

Praise others instead of gossiping.
If you are talking with someone or you are talking in a group of people, and up pops the subject of another person in a positive or negative way, be the one to mention something you like about that person.
Hearsay is the most powerful tool in gaining charm because it is always viewed as 100% sincere. It has the added benefit of creating trust in you.
The idea will spread that you never have a bad word to say about anyone. Everyone will know that their reputation is safe with you.

Don’t Lie.

A lie is something you say for which there is some direct evidence somewhere out there that contradicts it. If you tell Mary that you like Jane and Billy that you don’t like Jane, Mary and Billy will talk and your reputation will be ruined.
No one will believe a word you say.
Issue compliments generously, especially to raise others’ self esteem. Try to pick out something that you appreciate in any situation and verbally express that appreciation.
If you like something or someone, find a creative way to say it and say it immediately. If you wait too long, it may be viewed as insincere and badly timed, especially if others have beaten you to it.
If you notice that someone is putting a lot of effort into something, compliment it, even if you feel that there is room for improvement. If you notice that someone has changed something about themselves haircut, manner of dress) notice it, and point out something you like about it.
If you are asked directly, be charming and deflect the question with a very general compliment.

Be gracious in accepting compliments.

Get out of the habit of assuming that the compliment is being given without genuine intent. Even when someone makes a compliment out of contempt, there is always a germ of jealous truth hiding in their own heart.
Be effusive in accepting the compliment. Go beyond a mere “thank you” and enjoin this with “I’m glad you like it” or “It is so kind of you to have noticed.”
These are “compliments in return.” Avoid backhanding a compliment. There is nothing worse to a person complimenting than to receive the response “Oh well I wish I was as ______ as you/that situation.” That is tantamount to saying, “No, I am not what you are saying I am, and your judgment is wrong.”

Control your tone of voice.

The tone of your voice is crucial. Most people feel insecure somewhere inside and have an inability to accept praise. For this very reason, when you praise, do it subtly and glibly. When you say, “you look nice today” it should be in the exact same tone that you would use to say “it’s a nice day.”
Any variation from your normal tone will arouse suspicion about your sincerity. Practice giving compliments into a recorder and play it back. Does it sound sincere? Practice until you get it right.. It might not sound right to you, in that case, ask someone for judgement.

Tips

Developing charisma is an art.

The general guidelines above can help you be more charismatic, but your charisma must come from within you and must reflect you as an individual or it will appear fake. Fortunately, everyone has the ability to be charismatic, and it simply needs to be coaxed out. Practice and take note of what works and what needs improvement.

Don’t mimic others.

People with well developed charisma have a remarkable ability not only to sway people’s opinions but also to cause others to emulate their personalities and even gestures. At the same time, however, research has shown that charismatic people do not emulate other charismatic people.
Their individuality sets them apart.
Have a message.

Don’t be afraid to be controversial, to push the envelope. If you believe in something or feel strongly about it, communicate that in a respectful way. Your charisma will help people be accepting of your ideas.

Household Items into Healthy Beauty Remedies

Moisturizing dry hands & cuticles

-Create a mix for your hands of one tablespoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon sea salt (sugar if you don't have salt). Once the mix is created wet your hands and quickly pat dry so still damp. Now pour the mix on the palms and tops of your hands to be sure to cover the cuticles and nails also. Keep rubbing this mixture for 1 minute.
Now sit for 10 minutes and let the olive oil soak in. Now rinse your hands with lukewarm water and a gritty soap if you have it to cut the grease. You might have to wash a couple times with soap to remove. Once clean, pat dry and coat your hands and nails in some of your best rich hand cream. This replaces the need for such an exfoliating scrub like Sally Hansen.
The oil moisturizes while the sea salt scrubs away dead skin to reveal new healthy skin. Do the same with your feet. I always do this before I begin painting my nails for an at-home manicure or pedicure.

Hair Moisturizing Mask-Use eggs.
If you are like me and make egg whites for breakfast, save the yolks instead of throwing them away. The protein in them will help strengthen your hair and moisturize it. Mix up 2 whole eggs whipped, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 of lime juice(lime juice optional-perks up curly hair). Leave on your hair for 20-30 minutes and tuck under a plastic shower cap. Add heat for better penetration such as a hairdryer or a heating pad and hot towel over the shower cap. Finish by shampooing hair twice and rinsing thoroughly.

Relieve Itchy Skin
- Add 2-3 cups of quick cooking oats to your bathtub of hot water. Let is settle and stew in the water for a bit. When you are bathing, pick up handfuls of the
oats and cover the itchy areas. You'll need to shower with clean water when you are done, but do not use soap. This little recipe is great for adults as well as a child with chicken pox or poison ivy.

Recipe for Soft Skin & Prevent Yeast Infections
-Add 1/4 Cup of Apple Cider Vinegar to a bath instead of bubble bath. It will soften your skin and protect from getting yeast infections, unlike soaps that are often the cause of yeast infections.

Fixing Foot Odor
-Baking soda is a gentle alkaline powder that will neutralize odor-causing acids by restoring your skin's pH level. Once a week create a relaxing food bath by adding ½ cup of baking soda to about 2 Gallons of water in your tub. Soak your feet for about 10-15 minutes. As you are draining the water, put a couple drops of peppermint or rosemary oil on each foot. This will create better circulation in the feet and a minty zing. Finish by rinsing feet, pat them dry and then ensure you use a lotion or foot cream to keep feet well moisturized.

Deep-Clean Oily Skin
- A natural antiseptic and antibacterial ingredient, honey can be just the trick for your oily or blemished skin. Twice a day you'll want to use 1-2 tablespoons of honey and warm it either by rubbing in your own hands or by placing in the microwave for 10 seconds to soften it. Massage it onto clean, damp skin using a pressing and releasing technique. Rinse well with warm water and pat your face dry.

Got the Flu?
- One of the most useful tips is to get out the hydrogen peroxide and place a clean cotton swab in the bottle. Use both ends of the swab and stick one into each ear every hour. This works to speed up the healing and recovery process of the flu. My husband just tried this again this week and it works!

Know Your Skin Type

Vanity is a natural human characteristic. It is innate in all of us. And although most people do not regard their skin as an organ, our skin is in fact the largest vital organ in our body. Skin that is clogged and unhealthy is not just a beauty problem. It can become a hindrance to your sense of vitality and wellness.
Proper care of your skin is important not only to your personal sense of beauty but also to proper elimination, more graceful aging and overall health.
There are five major types of skin. Understanding your skin type is the best approach to your personal skin care.

* Normal skin—is the type of skin that we’d all love to have. This is the “healthy” type of skin. This type is the not too oily, not too dry type, characterized by few blemishes, generally firm and smooth with small pores. When you pull the skin away from the bony structure, it springs back to normal position. Lines and wrinkles are appropriate for age.

* Dry Skin—
due to environmental exposure to harsh elements and very often lack of water skin may flake off and feel tight in your face. It may lack natural oils, may look rather flaky with small pores, blemishes and blackheads. Without adequate moisture, dry skin can easily become chapped. As dry skin ages, it’s more likely than other types to become wrinkly.

* Oily Skin—
skin may look oily and coarse, may have recurring blackheads, acne and large pores. The texture of skin is thick; the touch is often sticky. This type is usually youthful- looking due to the presence of oil on the skin. Often, individuals with oily skin have a tendency to develop acne in their teen and middle years, and overgrown oil glands, or sebaceous hyperplasia, in the middle and late years.

* Combination Skin—
varies according to your skin type. This is the Jekyll and Hyde type of skin, often with split personality. This type may be characterized as oily on the T-zone (the area that stretches from the forehead down to the nose and chin), and dry to normal on the cheeks and around the eye area.

* Sensitive Skin—
people with sensitive skin are the most prone to allergies, rash, sting, and burns. This type of skin gets irritated easily and can go very red and blotchy. This type will have a lot more trouble to environmental factors and tends to be very sensitive to cosmetics.Know your skin and take care of it. It is your glory to being healthy and beautiful.

How to be Rich !

“Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor.” – Matthew 5:3

Some people read this verse to mean that God wants them to be poor — spiritually and materially.

One day, I gave a talk on the 8 Secrets of the Truly Rich, and one woman came up to me, almost crying in gratitude. “When I was a child, I was taught by a nun in our religion class that we needed to be poor to be pleasing to God. Since then, I’ve always tried to avoid riches. Today, you’ve freed me!”

The woman was in her 50s. She had been in a self-imposed prison of poverty for so long. And I bet many people are. That’s why I wrote the book 8 Secrets of the Truly Rich.
I want to release people from this prison and tell them that there’s a way of becoming wealthy without being materialistic.

Think for a moment:
If Mother Teresa didn’t have generous friends who gave her $40 million a year to support her ministry, she wouldn’t have been able to feed and care for the poor the way she had.

What does it mean to be “spiritually poor”? In one word, humility. It means that you acknowledge your desperate need for GodWealth isn’t the path to happiness. God is. But with God, wealth can be a way of serving Him. My friends, be truly rich. - Bo Sanchez

REFLECTION:
Count the ways you can be rich.

Lord, You are my wealth. Everything else should serve You, my treasure!
